Dr Yousif Shamsaldeen

Dr Yousif Shamsaldeen is a Senior Lecturer in Pharmacology at Liverpool John Moores University, where he is also a co-leader for year 1 MPharm course. In addition to being a pharmacologist, Dr Shamsaldeen is also a pharmacist where he is registered as a practising pharmacist in Kuwait. Yousif has extensive work experience in different universities in the UK: University of Hertfordshire, University of Bath, University of Bristol, St. George’s University of London, and the University of Brighton. While working in Brighton as a lecturer in pharmacology, Dr Shamsaldeen received the University of Brighton Student Union’s Inspirational and Motivational Teaching Award. In addition to his innovative teaching approaches, Dr Shamsaldeen is active in a wide range of research in cardiovascular pharmacology, retinopathy, overactive bladder, dementia, stem cells, clinical oncology, clinical ophthalmology, and clinical toxicology.
