Emma Louise oversees the editorial operations across the Society’s journals, making sure publishing runs smoothly and to a high standard.
She has a strong focus on journal development, operations, and strategic innovation across scholarly publishing. Emma has a deep and growing passion for artificial intelligence and its responsible application across both the publishing landscape and wider business. She is also committed to embedding Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) principles into publishing, ensuring transparent, fair and inclusive practices are built into editorial workflows, policy development and future‑facing initiatives.
People come to Emma for help with commissioning programmes, workflow advice, and operational problem‑solving in publishing, as well as for advice on understanding and implementing AI in a thoughtful, accountable way that aligns with organisational goals.
