Committees & groups

Vice Presidents are elected by members of the Society to chair one of the four committees to direct and guide the remit of these committees. Vice Presidents are elected for a three year term following one year in a deputy 'elect' Vice President position.

  • International Advisory Group

    Committee

    The International Advisory Group represents the interests and views of international members, and provides a two-way communication between international members, Council and Committees.

  • Meetings Committee

    Committee

    Number of members: 15

    Advises on and manages the programme of meetings that are appropriate to the needs of members, in accordance with policy and direction given by Council. The committee aims to deliver high-quality science in consultation with members, and collaboration with other societies. Through the provision of bursaries, it aims to enable members to attend and present their work at both the Society's and external meetings. Apply to join the committee.

  • Specialty Registrar Sub-Committee

    Number of members: 6

    The Specialty Trainee Registrars sub-committee has been established by Clinical Committee, with approval from Council, to represent the interests and views of these members, and to provide two-way communication between the Specialty Trainee Registrars and Clinical Committee which in turn can be used to update BPS Council. Apply to join the committee.
