Associate Postgraduate Student Membership is available to postgraduate students working on a pharmacological topic and to foundation doctors. Postgraduate Membership is for a maximum period of five years from registration for a higher degree (or equivalent), after which it can be converted to Associate Membership or Full Membership, as appropriate.

Membership fees are due on application and then on 1 January each year (except for Undergraduate Membership where a one off fee applies). For some grades (Fellow, Member and Associate Member), the timing of applications may mean that a pro rata fee is due on application. If this situation applies, the fee will be shown on the online payment form.

*Applications between 1 Oct and 31 Dec each year are charged at £25, but no annual fee is due on 1 January following.
Paying by Direct Debit (Renewals Only)
Direct Debit from your UK bank account is a simple and convenient way to pay your BPS membership dues and subscriptions. If you want to help the BPS by paying via this method, please complete and return the Direct Debit mandate to the BPS. **Direct Debit payment is offered with a discount of £20 against Associate Membership, Membership and Fellowship dues.
N.B. We can only accept payment by Direct Debit if we receive the mandate in time to collect payments in the first week of January, please return the mandate on or before 15 November of the preceding year.

Other Payment Methods
If you are unable to pay by Direct Debit because you do not have a UK bank account, you can pay securely and conveniently by credit or debit card via the Members' Area. Discounts for prompt payment are available against Associate Membership, Membership and Fellowship dues and Annual Renewal Notices will show the discounted rate on the basis that payment will be received strictly within 30 days of the annual renewal date (1 January). The BPS reserves the right to impose a surcharge for late payment.
